Seaborn's Farm Journal
- I've scanned 79 pages and there are 46 more. The following link contains those 79 pages and my thoughts as I worked on them. These were scanned and put online in 1999-2000 when webspace and time were at a premium. I was afraid of busting bandwidth limits and download speeds for folks. It should be feasible to put these into a PDF now, so I will look into it.
- I should note that I have no proof that Seaborn's middle name is Jones. His middle initial is certainly "J" and there was a Seaborn Jones in the area and connected to the family.

- These are a goldmine. The Jasper County courthouse has never burned and has always taken care of its records. The 12 Nov 1889 document is a Rosetta stone linking various Georgia lines together.

- Letter from C. M. Leverett to John M. L[everett], possibly dated 1854 - Seaborn's estate administrator was W. C. Leverett; no connection by blood or marriage has been found but Leverett is mentioned a number of times in Seaborn's diary.

These documents dated 1833-1834 prove James Blasingame to be the father of Eliza Blasingame Abercrombie. Eliza was the wife of Hugh Abercrombie, and was my g4grandmother. Witness John Blasingame is the nephew of James. Hugh and Eliza were neighbors of Hillsman and Mahala Hawk, and parents of Ann Adeline Elizabeth Abercrombie, wife of Hillsman's first son Ganaway Hawk. After Ganaway's death at Richmond, Ann remarried George W. Aycock. G. W. became the legal guardian of Ganaway's children as shown below.
