Went to local Hist. Soc. today. May go to Berks Co. tomorrow.
 
Here are a bunch of tax records. Andrew does not appear in Berks, but there is a record for an Andrew Haag on p. 293 of Vol. 17, Lancaster County. He had no property and paid a tax of 9 pounds. In Vol. 24, which lists Phila. Warrantees 1733-1866, Andreas Haak is listed for 225 acres, surveyed 11 Nov 1742.
Tax lists show Hawks were well off, millers. Should be wills on file for these guys. I will have to look in all other townships to see if I can find William or Peter. Just looked for Andrew and Rockland Twp. so far.
